Can someone lead me in the right direction of setting up a bitcoin wallet?
I've been seeing several posts over on Bitcoin about getting your money off of exchanges. I don't have too much money in Coinbase right now but, I plan on steadily increasing how much I buy. With that said I'm thinking about making a wallet but a lot of videos are very outdated and I can't seem to find any good tutorials. If you know how and or have a link please let me know. Thanks!
I would appreciate if someone could help me out. If this isn't the right place to post this, please let me know a more appropriate place. I have some Lord of the Rings memorabilia that I want to sell. I know someone in Greece that is interested in buying them, but he wants to pay me with bitcoin. Now, I know what bitcoin is, but I've never used it before. Can someone tell me the idiot's guide to setting up a wallet and having the bitcoin transferred to me without being scammed? I've heard stories of people using paypal to buy stuff from people online, then having the money yanked back once they receive the item. Can that happen with a bitcoin wallet? Also, how easy it to turn the bitcoin into actual cash. I'm thinking of cashing out half of it and keeping the other half in bitcoin form just to see what happens to it.

Help setting up a Bitcoin wallet & purchasing in the UK
Hello, I've been stumbling all over the place for the last hour or so before finally getting fed up and realising I need help/advice. A lot of the websites offering advice seems to be outdated... e.g. Claiming you can use coinbase in the UK. 1) What wallet would you recommend using? Preferably one that is mobile friendly. 2) Which site/app would you use to trade? Can this be easily linked to your bitcoin wallet and normal bank? Cheers!
I downloaded MultiBit but when I create a wallet it doesn't seem to keep it. I try to open it (the .wallet file) and nothing happens. So then I downloaded BitCoin QT and it's synchronizing like over 200 weeks of something? Taking forever.. Seems really odd. Why can't I just download some simple app and click create wallet and be done?
